CR 2 monsters
Challenge rating 2 monsters are worth 450 XP each and have a proficiency bonus of +2. As a rule of thumb, one CR 2 creature is a fair challenge for a party of four 2nd-level characters. Mix one with weaker minions to make a boss scene, or pair two for a hard fight.
