Cerevash
Harvest Fiend
Cerevash looks like a tall, gaunt figure stitched from straw and old autumn leaves, its joints ringing with the crack of dried cane. It offers booming, uncanny fertility to any village that pays the tithe it demands, then collects debts in quiet, precise ways: blighted livestock, a single child gone missing at dusk, or barns mysteriously aflame after a season of abundance. Villagers who bargain with it speak of a sweet, cloying scent of cut hay in the air wherever it treads — followed by the silent hush of things once alive.

Multiattack. The creature makes two Sickle attacks.
Sickle. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d6+2) slashing damage.
Sow Rot (Recharge 5-6). Cerevash exhales a cloud of foul spores in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 11 Constitution saving throw, taking 9 (2d6 + 2) necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one. A creature that fails the save is also infected with a wasting blight: it has disadvantage on death saving throws and regains only half the hit points from spells or abilities that restore hit points until it completes a short rest or the blight is removed.
Harvest's Boon (1/Day). Cerevash lays its palm on a patch of earth or an unattended plant within 10 feet. The target ground or plant surges with rapid growth and fertility. Up to three creatures of Cerevash's choice that touch the treated soil within 1 minute each regain 1d6+2 hit points. If used on crops or plants, the immediate area (a 10-foot square) yields a small, sudden bounty (herbs, a handful of grain, or a clutch of mushrooms) sufficient to feed one person for a day per use.
Cerevash are not demons of wanton destruction but of ledgered exchange. Folktales claim the first Cerevash slipped from a field of sacrifice long ago, born from a pact between a starving hamlet and a nameless, hungry god. Since then, itinerant cults and desperate grainwrights have summoned lesser Cerevash to bless fields in drought years. The bargains are exacting: harvests come abundant, but the creature's hunger must be sated in equal measure. Scholars from the Agronomic Conclave of Haldren have argued that Cerevash belong to a family of lesser fiends bound to soil and seed, and the Conclave keeps a guarded journal — the Faemarc Ledger — describing rites to repel or rebalance a bargain. The village of Wreth Hollow still tells of the Harvest Circle, a secretive brotherhood called the Guild of Grainwrights that binds young farmers to grazing vows rather than bargaining with fiends. Those who ignore such cautions find themselves with golden granaries and hearts growing hollow.
A humanoid roughly 6' tall with elongated limbs, Cerevash's 'skin' is layered with woven straw, brittle husks, and tatters of dyed burlap that rustle like dry leaves. Its head is a hollowed gourd with a carved, asymmetrical grin; thin filaments of rope serve as hair, threaded with seed pods. Wherever its hands touch, faint rootlike veins of dark sap crawl into the soil. Patches of mold and tiny woven talismans cling to the shoulders; a trailing coattail of bundled sheaves drags on the ground. The creature's movement is jerky and staccato, like scarecrows animated for a funeral march.
