The Truce Flask
the armistice bar on the charland
The Truce Flask sits in a crater where the earth still steams, a battered shelter of bone-timber and scavenged plate. When you push through the torn canvas flap, the air hits with smoke, salt sweat, and the metallic tang of fresh healing salves; a low murmur of multiple tongues threads through curses and clipped orders. Lanterns burn smoky blue and red in alternating racks, casting faces half in warmth and half in menace; opposing banners hang from opposite rafters, pinned so close they almost touch. Patrons nurse open wounds and grudges at the same tables, and every so often two soldiers—one horned, one feathered, one scorched, one frost-bright—exchange a wary drink instead of a blade. The barkeep tolerates a brittle peace: knives are left on the peg by the door, and broken oaths are paid for in ale.
A soot-darkened iron flask with a single riveted clasp—dented, blackened at one corner, hung from a chain. No words; a thin smear of ash and dried blood traces the rim.

Stats
Armistice Draught
4 cpA smoky, herb-steeped ale mixed with a bitter tincture; it blunts anger and heightens caution for an hour—patrons who share it are bound by an unspoken truce for that time (roleplay-enforced, no mechanical compulsion).

Gorun · bouncer
A quiet tiefling ex-militiaman who patrols the doorway with a long spear and a tired stare.

A battered seraph officer who slips in at dusk to trade maps and ask after a missing battle-banner called the White Sinew.
Rax of the Scalded Pact
A hulking infernal corporal who wants a clean exit from the wars and is collecting names of troops willing to desert.
Old Miren
A human surgeon who scavenges battlefield trinkets and claims to know where a sealed woundstone—an artifact that can patch rifts—was buried.
1
The White Sinew banner: Commander Sileth believes the banner lies sealed beneath a crater three furlongs northwest where the ground still breathes heat.
2
The Bone Horn courier: a demon runner called 'Mappend' seeks a bone horn carved from celestial bone—Hobbek hides one in the cellar.
3
Woundstone in the Rubble: Old Miren heard mercenaries traded a sealed woundstone to a mercer named Jorv in the ruined supply tower of Leth's Gate.
