Vorengrim Colossus
Relentless Juggernaut
A rolling mountain of muscle and iron-grey hide, the Vorengrim Colossus pushes forward as if the world itself must step aside — it ignores obstacles, shrugs off wounds that slow lesser things, and keeps coming until something far stronger stops it. Its approach is accompanied by the groan of rent stone and the panicked scatter of prey; against it, terrain and tactics that unnerve other foes feel futile. The Colossus is terrifying because it doesn't attack like a predator so much as finish like a force of nature: unstoppable, unapologetic, and almost single-minded in its drive.

Multiattack. The colossus makes three attacks: two Slam attacks and one Stomp.
Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (2d10+4) bludgeoning damage.
Stomp. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (2d10+4) bludgeoning damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 15 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.
Unstoppable Surge (Recharge 5-6). The colossus moves up to its speed in a straight line. During this movement it can move through the spaces of creatures smaller than Huge. Each creature whose space the colossus enters must make a DC 15 Strength saving throw. On a failed save, the creature takes 13 (2d8+4) bludgeoning damage, is knocked prone, and is pushed 10 feet in the direction the colossus is moving. On a success, the creature takes half damage and isn't knocked prone or pushed.
Villagers who survive a Vorengrim sighting tell of a formless pressure on the earth before the creature appears: fences split outward, wells pour muddy water, and entire carts are shoved aside without a single claw mark. Scholars disagree about its origin. Some, like Magister Orrun of Kylvar's Archivum, argue Vorengrim are a recusant form of titan-sprung monstrosity born where ley lines knot and kiln-smoke meets mountain iron. Others claim they are the twisted offspring of quarry spirits bound too long by miners' chains and steam-hammers — a rancorous answer to too much industry. The Ironwardens, a guild of road-engineers and caravan guards, keep a ledger of Vorengrim paths and an odd set of countermeasures: sacrificial breakable barriers, shallow pits rimmed with spikes, and trained oxen to bait the beasts away from settlements. Still, the Colossus has a reputation for picking new routes and ignoring ambushes; its favored lairs are ruined fortifications, old quarries, and bottlenecked passes where it can concentrate force. Legends say a Vorengrim once pushed a castle keep off its foundations; the survivors called the event the Sundering of Hestfall, and that name is still whispered where travelers cross narrow defiles.
Massive and roughly humanoid in silhouette but with proportions like a living siege-engine: a barrel chest armored by thick, scarred hide layered with vein-like cords of cartilage, shoulders that slope into stunted, pillar-like arms ending in blunt hands with short, thick fingers tipped in keratinous pads. Its legs are disproportionately wide, jointed like an ox's but built to absorb shock, and its feet are slab-like with a ring of calloused pads. Patches of metallic bio-crust (like scaling iron) rim its joints and spine; these plates are matte, pitted, and streaked with rust-colored mineral deposits. The head is small relative to the body, with a low brow, two deep-set pale eyes that do not blink often, and a mouth that rarely opens — when it does, it's to emit a low rumble. Scars across its hide, gouges filled with lichen, and embedded shards of stone and scrap metal hint at a life of collisions. Scale reference: stands roughly as tall as a two-story doorway and twice as wide as a human; in illustrations, place a human guard cowering at its knee for scale.
