The Three-Spore Ledger
the cellar where the mushroom ink remembers
You duck through a low, fungus-streaked doorway into a cavern warmed by glowcaps and slow-bubbling vats. Bioluminescent fungi hang in clusters from stout ribs, casting blue-green pools of light that make every shadow look like a secret. The air smells of earth, yeast, and a high, sweet perfume from boiling spore-broth; conversations are quiet and deliberate, as if the walls themselves listen. Drinks arrive in cups carved from rhizome, each liquid emitting a soft inner light; when patrons laugh the glow flickers obligingly.
A scalloped slab of obsidian carved with three stylized mushroom caps; faint veins of phosphorescent resin pulse behind the carving so the caps glow in sequence. The wood frame is damp with lichen; no letters, only the triple cap emblem.

2
The Vault of Stilled Lanterns: Thess Gribble swears a collapsed company shaft near Pit 9 hides a vault stamped with the old mining sigil and a chest of lights that never burn out.
3
Miraen the Cartographer vanished after visiting the Deep Ledger; she was last seen bargaining with Brapnik over the Glasscap Shard and offered a map of a 'living cavern' in exchange for a single whisper.
