Qashrul
Stone-Throwing Ossuary
Qashrul is a hulking skeletal colossus built from oversized bones and the rubble of ruined halls, haunting hilltops and forgotten quarries. It lumbers with the weight of masonry in its ribcage and hurls fist-sized stones with terrible accuracy and force; each impact sounds like a distant thunderclap. More than a simple animated skeleton, Qashrul seems to hunger for the collapse of things—walls, cairns, and the resolve of those who stand before it—leaving shattered earth and stunned foes in its wake.

Multiattack. The Qashrul makes two attacks: one Rock Toss and one Slam, or two Rock Toss attacks.
Rock Toss. Ranged Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, range 40/120 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d8+4) bludgeoning damage.
Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d8+4) bludgeoning damage.
Gravestone Hurl (Recharge 5-6). The Qashrul hurls a fist-sized chunk of masonry in a high arc at a point it can see within 60 feet. Each creature in a 10-foot-radius sphere centered on that point must make a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw, taking 21 (6d6) bludgeoning damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one. A creature that fails the save is also knocked prone.
Stories of Qashrul are often told by quarrymen and grave-diggers who whisper of a giant skeletal sentinel that wakes whenever stone is taken from certain hills. Scholars of the Order of Kireth claim Qashrul is the result of a burial rite gone wrong: a necromancer attempted to bind the memory of an avalanche into a guardian, and the ritual fused bone with rock until something else emerged. Villages near abandoned quarries mark time by the night Qashrul is seen atop a ridge, throwing stones at distant lights. Adventurers who seek its lair find fields of upturned earth and perfectly round impact craters. Qashrul is territorial and obsessive: it collects fragments of masonry and sets them in crude cairns, then guards those piles jealously. The antiquarian Merek Thul wrote that Qashrul fears running water and collapsing ground; by undermining the stone beneath it or drawing it across a stream, hunters can unsteady the construct-longing undead and force it to recover, slow and vulnerable. The Order of Kireth keeps a journal of encounters, noting Qashrul's tendency to avoid enclosed caverns where its thrown stones cannot be used effectively.
Qashrul stands roughly as tall as a small doorway when crouched and taller than a human when upright—about 10 to 12 feet in height. Its skeleton is mismatched: long femurs and jagged shoulder blades from oversized beasts, fused with chunks of limestone and cobbles bound into its ribcage and forehead. The skull is elongated and cracked, with shadowed hollows like bellows where eyes once were; thin strands of sinew and mortar seam bones together in places. Its forearms are thick and stone-veined, ending in blunt, knuckled phalanges perfect for gripping and hurling rocks. Texturally, the creature alternates between the chalky roughness of bone and the pitted, grainy surface of worked stone, with crosshatched cracks and hairline fractures running across its form. An artist should emphasize the contrast between brittle bone edges, heavy masonry slabs nested in the torso, and the sense of precarious balance—rocks lashed to bone as if the whole thing might collapse if it were startled.
