Kyrthos
Bronze Colossus
Kyrthos strides like a walking fortress: a towering, jointed statue of hammered bronze and black iron that moves with the ponderous certainty of tectonic plates. Lightning dances along engraved runes in its chest as it wrenches whole battlements from the earth and hurls them, and its hollow eyes glow with a cold, patient light. It behaves as both siege engine and vigil — slow, implacable, and terrifyingly precise in its destruction, a relic of an older industry that will not sleep until whatever promise it was made to keep is fulfilled or totally undone.

Multiattack. Kyrthos makes three Slam attacks.
Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 27 (4d10+5) bludgeoning damage.
Stormheart Discharge (Recharge 5-6). Kyrthos unleashes the trapped storm in its chest in a 60-foot line that is 10 feet wide. Each creature in that line must make a DC 19 Dexterity saving throw, taking 78 (12d12) lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Objects and unattended structures in the line take full damage with no save.
Crushing Overstep. Kyrthos moves up to half its speed and may enter a Large or smaller creature's space. The first time it enters a creature's space on a turn, the creature must succeed on a DC 19 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone and restrained under the colossus (escape DC 19). A creature restrained in this way takes 21 (4d10) bludgeoning damage at the end of each of Kyrthos's turns. Kyrthos can crush a restrained creature by ending its turn on that creature; the creature must make the save or be reduced to 0 hit points.
Reflected Shock. When hit by a melee attack, Kyrthos may force the attacker to make a DC 19 Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save the attacker takes 14 (4d6) lightning damage and is pushed 10 feet away; on a success, the attacker takes half damage and isn't pushed. Kyrthos can use this reaction a number of times equal to 3 plus its Constitution modifier, regaining all uses at dawn.
The creature can take 3 legendary actions per round, choosing from the options below.
Slam. Kyrthos makes one Slam attack.
Step. Kyrthos moves up to half its speed without provoking opportunity attacks.
Thunderstep. Kyrthos slams the ground, producing a concussive burst. All creatures within 30 feet must make a DC 19 Constitution saving throw, taking 45 (10d8) thunder damage and being stunned until the end of their next turn on a failed save, or half damage and not stunned on a success.
Kyrthos is one of the last known kolossi of the Asterion Forging, a cadre of artisan-archons who blended rune-craft and elemental smithing during the pre-Imperial age. Built as a city guardian and engine of reclamation, Kyrthos was cast in an alloy of bronze, star-iron, and trapped storm-stuff. When the Asterion citadels crumbled beneath tectonic convulsions and civil war, many kolossi were driven into the sea or neutralized; Kyrthos, however, activated and kept walking, following a directive its makers could no longer recall to anyone who might obey it. Survivors call the places Kyrthos passed the Sundered Asterion: terraces of polished bronze, ruined pedestals, and fields where trees were pressed flat into petrified fans. The Archive of Threvan holds the closest thing to a registry for kolossi; the archivist Mael Venn first identified Kyrthos from a fragmentary forging log and warned councils that these constructs do not 'die' like living things. Factions such as the Iron Conclave seek to recover Kyrthos for salvage, while the Order of Quiet Roads campaigns to corral or divert it—an enterprise that has cost entire caravans and one small fortified town.
Kyrthos stands roughly three times a tall human in shoulder height and approaches ten times human height overall; its silhouette fills a temple doorway. Its body is plate-like segments of hammered bronze riveted to a darker iron skeleton. Broad pauldrons are carved with bas-relief of ocean swells and forging hammers; its torso contains a circular, riveted vault in which a braided conduit of captured storm-light pulses faintly blue. Limbs are jointed with oversized bolt-hinges and pistons the size of wagon wheels; fingers end in blunt, chisel-like pads and can extend cable-hooks. Surface textures alternate between burnished shine and scabbed repair plates patched with mismatched alloys. Corroded glyphs and seam-lines seam its chest, while pitted scorch marks and polish scars tell of centuries of impact and re-forging. When moving, thin seams between plates hiss steam or sparks. Scale cues: show a human at knee height to emphasize Kyrthos's massive scale and a toppled gate or stone tower fragment in its grasp to communicate weight.
