Ledger of the Hollow Shard
a duergar merchant lodge hollowed inside a single giant geode
You step through an arched band of hammered iron and find yourself inside a cavern the size of a hall, every surface inlaid with facets of amethyst and citrine that fracture torchlight into drunken shards. Tables are hewn from a single bed of rose quartz, chairs are bolstered with iron and soft leather, and latticed brass lamps hang like slow-fire constellations, giving the place a hush of expensive secrecy. Merchants in trimmed dark cloaks confer in low, precise tones; the clink of coin and the scratch of quills mix with a distant, crystalline resonance that seems to come from the very heart of the geode.
A polished crescent-slab of smoky quartz hangs by a heavy iron chain above the door; its face is etched with neat Duergar sigils that catch the geode's inner light. The slab hums faintly when a coin is laid against it.

Sembra of the Narrow Caravans
A human caravan leader recently missing a manifest of glassized trade goods and asking discreet questions about shipments out of the Hollow Shard.
Gimden Nail
A grizzled gem-cutter who mutters about Glassfang Cavern, where a noble vanished after stealing a geode crown.
1
Marrek Thul claims the Hollowstar shard in Bruln's vault isn't whole—a missing fragment lies in the Glassfang Cavern and would make the shard sing louder if reunited.
2
Sembra of the Narrow Caravans lost a manifest listing a shipment of 'polished teeth' bound for the surface; she suspects a thief in the ledger stalls sold the manifest to a rival house.
3
Gimden Nail swears that the duergar noble Vorst Helk found a crown grown from geode crystal in Glassfang Cavern and never returned; whoever recovers the crown will be named heir to Vorst's trade routes.
