Vesperlyth
Fey Sorceress of the Bramble Court
Vesperlyth is a malicious dark fey whose laughter smells of crushed leaves and rust. She haunts twilight glades and ruined manor grounds in the Borderlands of the Feywild, luring travelers with promises of bargains before ensnaring their minds and feeding on the panic she breeds. In combat she combines beguiling glamour with ruthless spells and a long, barbed dagger tipped with enchanted bramble-thorns; allies who watch her fight speak of the impossible stillness of the air the instant she decides a victim will break.

Multiattack. Vesperlyth makes two attacks: one with her Thorned Dagger and one with a cantrip or uses one of her spell options.
Thorned Dagger. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d6+5) piercing damage plus 5 (1d10) necrotic damage as the dagger draws out a flicker of the victim's calm.
Beguiling Glance (Recharge 5-6). Vesperlyth fixes her silver eyes on one creature she can see within 30 feet. The target must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or be stunned until the end of its next turn and take 10 (3d6) psychic damage as visions of loss and foolish bargains strike the mind. A creature that succeeds is immune to Beguiling Glance for 24 hours.
Spellcasting. Vesperlyth is a 10th-level spellcaster. Her spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 15, +7 to hit with spell attacks). She has the following spells prepared: Cantrips (at will): vicious mockery, chill touch, minor illusion, thorn whip 1st level (4 slots): disguise self, charm person, sleep 2nd level (3 slots): hold person, mirror image, phantasmal force 3rd level (3 slots): vampiric touch, hypnotic pattern 4th level (3 slots): blight, greater invisibility 5th level (2 slots): dominate person, cloudkill When Vesperlyth casts vampiric touch, she regains hit points equal to half the necrotic damage dealt.
Feyward Reflex. When a creature misses Vesperlyth with a melee attack, she can use her reaction to impose disadvantage on the attack's next roll against her until the end of her next turn as brambles writhe and obscure her form.
Whispers in the Bramblekin Court claim Vesperlyth was once a minor hedge-witch of a sylvan manor, gifted enough to temper winter grasses but cruel to small creatures. When the manor was swallowed by a fey-warped storm, she walked out changed: taller in shadow, hair threaded with living thorns, and grinning with a mouth that smelled of iron and rot. The Bramblekin Court now tells cautionary tales of bargains she makes — favors granted in exchange for memories, names, or the first-born sleep of a household. Those who accept find themselves favored briefly, then stripped of fragile sanity in slow, precise increments.
Vesperlyth stands slender and just taller than a human, draped in a gown of stitched moss and dusk-silk that seems to drink light. Her skin is pale jade with faint, vine-like veins that pulse when she channels magic. Hair falls to her waist in a tumble of black-green strands threaded with tiny, living bramble-thorns that twitch independently. Her eyes are a pupil-less silver, reflecting like wet leaves; when she smiles thin rows of sharp, slightly overlong teeth flash. She carries a long, warped dagger whose blade blooms faintly with thorned growths; the haft is wrapped in tanned vine-leather and inset with a dull, moonlit stone. Small sigils of bone and carved acorn hang from her belt. Scale: about 5'8" tall, with flowing garments that hide the lower limbs; the dagger is roughly as long as a human forearm. Texture notes: skin smooth but cool and slightly slick like wet bark; fabrics layered and asymmetric; brambles appear to be both plant and small metal barbs.
