v1.13 Beta

Latest

26 October 2026

Your world in Claude and ChatGPT, and much bigger videos.

Your world in Claude and ChatGPT

Connect LoreKeeper to Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code or Cursor. Once connected, they can search your lore, read your documents and look up your characters and their pictures while you chat, so a session recap or an NPC's next line comes from your own canon instead of a guess. Any account can connect, free included: open the account menu, choose Connections and follow the steps for your app.

Switch on pictures for a connection and it can make new pictures of your characters and worlds too, in your world's art style. Pictures use your credits at the same price as in LoreKeeper, and you can switch this off again any time under Connections.

Several characters in one video or image

Create Video, Cutscene 2 and Create Image now take up to six pictures. Each one gets a name, @Image1, @Image2 and so on, so your prompt can say who does what: "@Image1 draws her sword as @Image2 steps out of the shadows." Your characters stay recognisable from shot to shot.

Videos up to 30 seconds, with sound

Seedance 2.5 is now the main video model in Create Video and Cutscene 2: 4 to 30 seconds, with sound made for the scene, at 480p, 720p or 1080p. You see the price before you start; it depends on the length and the resolution.

Videos now render in the background. Start one, carry on with something else or close the tab, and the finished clip lands in your Media Library. Up to three can run at once. If the video model refuses a prompt, you aren't charged.

Prompts up to 4,000 characters

Image and video prompts can now be up to 4,000 characters, room for a whole scene. A few models take less, so the prompt box shows a live count and the limit for the model you picked. Lore Assist and Enhance write longer, richer prompts to match.

Also new

  • Generators has its own menu at the top of the site, with the Bestiary and Taverns in it.
  • Cutscene 2 replaces the original Cutscene tool, which is hidden from the menu, not deleted.

v1.12.7 Beta

28 September 2026

Chat as not yourself.

Chat as one of your characters

Start a chat as one of your own characters instead of as yourself. On a new chat, tap the small mask on the edge of the big world picture and pick a character. Lore Assist then talks to you as them: it knows their story and how they look, and the world reacts to them. Their face goes on your messages, and the chat shows in the sidebar as "(as Name)". Works in world chats and character chats. Who you are is set per chat, so start a new chat to switch.

Welcome screens that sound like your world

The welcome text and starter buttons on a new chat are now written from your world's real characters, places and factions, in your world's own voice. They refresh by themselves as your world grows. Edit them in World Settings and they're yours: we won't change them again.

Worlds without a backdrop now get one from their own art: the picture of their most important place, or the world's emblem.

World Settings, redone

World Settings now looks like Create World. Your world's backdrop and emblem sit at the top (tap either to change it), then the pitch, look, rules and voice, with one Save button that lights up when something has changed. Welcome text & starters and Advanced tuck away underneath.

Explore Worlds

Your worlds are now picture cards showing the world's art, name, game system and pitch. Tap a card to open its chat; settings and delete are in the ⋮ menu. Search, sort and New world sit along the top.

Entities

Each entity card's menu now has Chat to (for characters) and Enrich, which fills in that one entity from your lore, just like bulk Enrich.

Tidied up

  • Telegram has been removed from World Settings.
  • The Lore Uploads switches are gone. Summaries and reply formatting are always on

v1.12.6

28 September 2026

LoreKeeper on your phone, properly.

LoreKeeper on the phone being so bad as been like a guiltt stain. Finally did a ton of work on it last night.

A new bottom bar (Home, Chat, Create, Lore, Entities) and a Create button for images, videos and generators. The chat box now fits your phone: Return adds a new line, the keyboard no longer covers what you're typing, and replies scroll into view as they arrive. Chats open about 3× faster everywhere, and videos and sounds you generate are saved even if your phone goes to sleep.

v1.12.5 Beta

27 September 2026

Hear your world, and see what your lore holds

Voice in chat

Press the speaker on any reply to hear it read aloud, or tap the mic to speak your message instead of typing. Turn on "Read replies aloud" in the new Voice narration menu to hear every reply as it arrives, and "Hands-free conversation" to talk back without touching the keyboard.

Choose the voice for the narrator and for each character, plus speed and language. Your browser's own voices are free; premium OpenAI and ElevenLabs voices sound more natural and use credits (about 36 or 120 per typical reply — the exact amount is shown on each Read aloud button). Replaying a reply you've already heard is free.

Works best in Chrome, Edge and Safari; Firefox can read aloud but can't take dictation.

A new Lore Library

The Lore page now has three tabs: Upload Lore, The Shelf and LoreMap. Drop in anything you have written or recorded — documents, session recordings, a Google Doc link or pasted notes — and watch it being read, step by step. When it finishes, LoreKeeper shows you the characters, places and items it found in it, ready to open.

Open any document to read it with the people, places and things from your world highlighted in the text, and a list down the side of who and what it mentions.

Enrich your entities in bulk

On the Entities page, press Select, tick as many entities as you like (up to 60 at a time) and press Enrich. LoreKeeper reads your lore for each one and fills in what it finds — summary, description, appearance, backstory, aliases, tags and rules — and can make a picture for any that don't have one. Only empty fields are filled; anything you've written is left exactly as it is. You'll see the cost before you start, can keep working while it runs, and we'll email you when it's done.

Create a world, beautifully

Starting a new world now shows your chosen visual style as a big preview, with styles and game systems as picture tiles instead of dropdowns and ready-made personalities for your world's narrator. You can add your first lore — files, a Google Doc or notes — right there as you create it.

Also new

  • A new LoreKeeper homepage with a showreel of what it can do.
  • Each entity's page now sits inside Entities, with the same type tabs across the top.
  • Creatures can be pinned on a world map as many times as you like — a pack of wolves, a swarm, a patrol — while other entities keep one pin each.
  • The Place entity and Place note buttons on maps have moved up to the top-right.

Fixes

  • Opening a world's chat now takes you to your real conversation, not an empty one.
  • Dragging a pin on a map no longer makes it jump.
  • Opening the Lore page from a link or after a refresh no longer shows an error.
  • Uploads no longer sit on "Chunking" after they've finished.

v1.12.3 Beta

20 September 2026

Maps and Character chats

World Maps

Every world can now hold as many maps as it needs — a continent, a city, or the inside of a single flooded cave. They live in the sidebar under World Map, alongside your lore and books, with a gallery showing each one.

Give a map a background by describing it, uploading your own image, or picking something already in your media. When you describe one you can say what scale it is or leave it on Auto and it reads that from your description and choose the shape. Anything you generated can be regenerated from the same prompt, so you can nudge the wording and try again without retyping it.

Drop markers and link them to characters, places or items from your world. Clicking a marker shows its picture and a one-line description.

A chat per character

Characters are no longer limited to one conversation. Start as many as you like; each appears in the sidebar as "Character — subject", so a long-running thread doesn't get buried under a quick question.

Choosing images got simpler

One picker everywhere you choose an existing image — profile pictures, map backgrounds, anywhere else — instead of a different one on each screen.

Fixes

  • A chat turn that fails now says so and offers a retry, instead of vanishing
  • Clear All quotes the real number of entities, and is honest about what it does and doesn't remove
  • Generator imports land in the world you're working in
  • Featured Worlds buttons are readable again on the grey cards

v1.12.2 Beta

24 August 2026

Ask, and your lore listens

Chat just learned to look after your world's knowledge properly.

  • Save chat straight to your lore — say "save that to my lore as Harbour Rumours" and the material becomes part of your world's searchable knowledge, ready to draw on in any conversation. Saving to the same title later adds to the same entry.
  • Search your lore from chat — ask for a lookup and the matching excerpts from your library are quoted right back into the conversation.
  • Relationships from conversation — agree a bond between two saved characters ("Otto is Grindle's rival") and it lands on your world's relationship map.
  • Straighter answers about what's possible — chat now tells you exactly what it can and can't do, and points you to the right button (like Add to Lore on every message) instead of guessing. If a save ever doesn't happen, it says so plainly.
  • Telegram catch-up — saving entities from Telegram chat now works properly too.

v1.12.1 Beta

24 August 2026

Saves you can see

Saving from chat now shows its work.

  • Save confirmations appear instantly — when you save a character or update an entity from chat, the confirmation now shows up right away, and the new entity appears in your library without a page refresh.
  • No more silent saves — if a save doesn't go through, chat tells you straight away so you can just ask again, instead of leaving you wondering whether it worked.
  • Cleaner conversations — behind-the-scenes save commands no longer linger in your chat history.

v1.12.0 Beta

22 August 2026

Safer saves, clearer credits

This release is all about trust: your work stays saved, and credits are only spent on what you actually get.

  • Chat history always saves — conversations are kept even if your credits run out mid-session.
  • Clear notice when credits run low — image generation in chat now tells you when your balance is used up instead of failing quietly, and failed generations are never charged.
  • Back to the right conversation — opening chat returns you to the thread you were last active in.
  • Deleting media is now upfront — the Library warns you when files you remove are shown in chats or entity galleries.
  • Clearer subscription changes — cancelling now explains exactly what happens to your benefits and credits before you confirm.
  • Reliability fixes across the board — saves and edits surface errors properly instead of quietly claiming success.

v1.11.1 Beta

14 June 2026

Support, leveled up — attach screenshots & get notified

Getting help just got easier.

  • Add a screenshot to any ticket — attach or paste an image straight into a support request or a reply, so we can see exactly what you're seeing.
  • Know the moment we reply — a new bell in the top-right lights up when the team responds to your ticket, and we'll email you too so nothing slips by.
  • Smoother back-and-forth — your whole conversation, images and all, stays in one place under My Tickets.

v1.11.1 Beta

v1.11.1 — Player Mode grows up · Beyond D&D · Cutscene 2

🎲 Player Mode v1.1 — your dice finally matter. A successful roll now actually keeps you alive (no more dying on a great roll). New adventures start on a fairer Balanced difficulty, a cautious retreat no longer ends your story, and gold, ammo and charges persist turn to turn. Plus smarter combat and grounded spell stats. 🌍 Beyond D&D. Play in Vampire: The Masquerade 5e, Alien, Year Zero, and Cyberpunk RED — with system-correct rules grounding and your character's native tracks (Hunger, Stress, Humanity) right on the sheet. 🎬 Cutscene 2. A new image-first cinematic video builder with native sound.

v1.11.1 Beta

14 June 2026

Player Mode v1.1, beyond D&D, and Cutscene 2

Player Mode grows up, the table opens up beyond D&D, and a new cinematic video builder lands.

  • Your dice finally matter — a successful roll now actually keeps you alive. No more rolling a 19 and dying anyway. Avoidance and escape checks do what they say.
  • A fairer start — new adventures begin on a Balanced difficulty instead of the most lethal one, and a cautious, in-character retreat no longer ends your story before it begins.
  • Resources that stick — gold, ammo and charges now carry over turn to turn instead of being forgotten.
  • Beyond D&D — play in Vampire: The Masquerade 5e, Alien, Year Zero, and Cyberpunk RED, with system-correct rules grounding and your character's native tracks (Hunger, Stress, Humanity) shown right on the sheet.
  • Smarter combat & truer spells — stat-less foes now fight back properly, and spell stats stay faithful to the book.
  • Cutscene 2 — a new image-first cinematic video builder with native sound, built on Seedance 2.0.

v1.10.0 Beta

11 June 2026

Player Mode — your world becomes the game

The biggest thing we've ever shipped, and it's marked Experimental on purpose: Player Mode turns any of your worlds into a playable solo adventure.

  • Choose Your Story — pull a card (Dungeon Delve, Rescue, Monster Hunt, Mystery, Survival) and the Forge builds a complete adventure from your world's own lore: its places, its people, its secrets. Or take the Make Your Story card and tell it what you want in your own words.
  • Choose Your Hero — play as any character from your world. If they have a character sheet, they bring their real stats, gear and skills into the game; the hero picker shows you who's battle-ready.
  • A Game Master runs it turn by turn — you say what you do, the world answers, and the dice decide what it costs. Real initiative, real damage, real consequences.
  • One live adventure per world — your game persists; Player Mode brings you straight back to it. Quit it any time to forge a new one.

It's experimental: forging takes a few minutes (it's genuinely building, not loading), combat runs on D&D-style rules for now, and the first-visit introduction lays out exactly what to expect. Find it in your world's sidebar.

v1.9.3 Beta

10 June 2026

The Studio, reforged — plus 3D models

The whole Studio has been rebuilt around a new forge workflow. Same engines underneath, a far better workshop on top.

  • Create 3D Model (new) — turn any image from your world into a fully textured, rotating 3D model. Pick a texture tier (No Texture 400 / Standard 600 / HD 800 credits), spin it around right in the Studio, and download the model file for your VTT or 3D printer.
  • Create Image — choose portrait, landscape or square; apply your world's art style; lock the seed to keep a consistent look across generations. Results arrive with a lore-flavoured title and caption, and the Previous Manifestations strip keeps recent work one click away.
  • Create Video — a clear numbered flow: pick a source image (or go text-only), describe the motion, choose your engine. Recent videos sit below for instant replay or prompt reuse.
  • Sound FX — duration presets (Short, Loopable, Ambient, or exact seconds), essence types for foley / environmental / magical sounds, and a High Fidelity option that delivers 48kHz WAV for editing-grade audio.
  • Media Library — new masonry layout with favourites, categories and tags. Star the keepers, filter by world or tag, and 3D models now show their rendered previews on the tile.
  • Lore Assist everywhere — every forge has an enhance button that rewrites your prompt using your world's lore (a couple of credits per use).

Everything you forge now saves to the Media Library automatically.

v1.9.1 Beta

17 May 2026

World Webpage tool + World Books cleanup

Two things this release.

  • World Webpage — new Toolbox tool. Generate a public webpage for your world (800 credits) and share the link with players for a single jumping-off point into lore and characters.
  • Rename and delete on World Books — hover any book in the sidebar → kebab menu, same as Conversations.

v1.9.0 Beta

16 May 2026

Sidebar overhaul

A round of sidebar fixes and small upgrades.

  • Sidebar respects light/dark mode
  • Delete and rename are back on conversations (hover any row → kebab menu)
  • Favourite your worlds — their square turns gold and pins them to the top of the Switch dropdown
  • Drag-and-drop to reorder sidebar sections (Lore, Conversations, Books, Entities, Studio)
  • Player Mode entry — coming soon

v1.8.9 Beta

15 May 2026

World switching + silent failure fixes

  • Switching worlds works correctly from Lore, Entities, and Studio pages
  • Conversation state clears properly across world switches
  • "Create Book" CTA in the sidebar respects the currently-selected world
  • Chat now surfaces errors instead of silently failing — dropped messages get visible feedback
  • Lore upload errors from Google Doc URLs are now reported

v1.8.8 Beta

10 May 2026

Generator outputs + map PDFs

  • Generator results now show the full image — click to open it
  • Maps export as landscape-orientation PDFs to match their shape
  • Sidebar "View All" in Conversations expands the list properly
  • Hotfixes: rate-limit display for logged-in users, authed generator fetcher, PDF image export

v1.8.7 Beta

4 May 2026

World Books sidebar + Upload Lore CTA

  • New WORLD BOOKS section in the left sidebar. Sidebar order is now: Conversations / World Books / Entities / Lore.
  • Book conversations migrated out of the regular Conversations list — no more double-listing. Click the + on World Books to start a fresh book.
  • Empty-state CTA on chat: red "Try a World Book" replaced with a calmer teal "UPLOAD LORE — enrich this world by uploading your own lore" prompt below the starter questions.
  • Welcome blurb and starter buttons share a column — empty state reads as one composition.
  • Bug fix: New Book on the per-world dashboard now opens the right world (was falling through to whichever project was first in the list).

v1.8.6 Beta

4 May 2026

Cycling-text loader + auto-avatar

  • Cycling-text loader on the chat empty state ("Building the bones... Installing avatar... Setting the scene...") replaces the 5-second blank gap.
  • Welcome text + starter buttons are now pre-warmed in the background the moment you create a world.
  • Auto-avatar: every new world gets a generated emblem-style portrait Avatar prompt picks up your world's visual style / art style / game system, falling back to the description.
  • Chat actions: edit a message, delete an exchange,

v1.8.5 Beta

4 May 2026

Rules layer + post-create chat landing

  • Two-pass retrieval: chat now grounds replies in your world's lore AND in a per-system rules KB.
  • System rules KBs ship for D&D 5e (2014 & 2024 SRDs), Call of Cthulhu 7e, Cyberpunk RED, Vampire V5, Year Zero / Alien.
  • Game-system picker exposes the new canonical slugs; legacy worlds still work.
  • Post-create flow: creating a new world drops you straight into chat with a preloaded conversation, instead of the old Upload Lore landing.

Using quickstart rules or open-source SRDs only — full rules still need a user upload to ground.
