The Three-Gashed Lamp
the candlelit ossuary under the city
You duck beneath a low stone arch and the air slides cold and dry against your face. Candles squat in bone sockets along the walls; the light is thin and trembles, throwing cathedral-long shadows between alcoves lined with niches and inscriptions half worn away. The floors are swept but not scrubbed — the scent is of tallow, old dust, and something floral that might be incense or might be decay. Conversations happen in hushes; the regulars speak as if loud words might wake something. Behind the bar is a shallow pit of candles in a slab of stone where patrons press coins into old mortar and trace names on the walls. If you listen, the drip of wax and a distant, settling creak sound like a heartbeat beneath the place.
A battered iron hoop holding three cracked lamps shaped like skulls; wax drips like pale tears down the metal. A hairline crack runs through the left skull and an old coin is nailed into the forehead of the middle one.

Lampkeeper's Draught
4 cpA bitter, smoky ale poured through a curl of burned herb; it sharpens the senses for a short while — advantage on Perception checks for 1 minute, but imposes a -1 penalty to Stealth for the next hour as your coughs echo in the vault.

1
The 'Warden of Sighs' is a carved effigy in Vault Seven and whispers names when the moon is high—Sable Kren says she found a ledger that lists the effigy's victims.
2
The sealed ossuary two corridors east of the tavern once held a reliquary that resisted opening—Morrin claims a brass key worth a killer's ransom will unlock a moving stone inside.
3
Old Ruk swears a mason's brother was seen walking out of a tomb last week; the brother is listed on a tombstone in the back with a different death date than the city's records.
