Voruthrax
Destructor's Scion
Voruthrax is a hulking, primordial fiend whose presence bends reality — the direct offspring of the Overseer's destructive aspect. Wherever it strides, ground ruptures into smoking fissures and the air fills with the metallic tang of ozone and brimstone. Voruthrax is neither subtle nor merely a force of nature: it is a cunning, remorseless strategist of ruin that delights in toppling civilizations and turning the ambitious to ash, leaving a wake of charred monuments and broken gods.

Multiattack. Voruthrax makes three attacks: one Bite, one Claw, and one Tail.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 26 (4d10+5) piercing damage plus 14 (4d6) necrotic damage.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 18 (2d8+5) slashing damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 20 Strength saving throw or be grappled (escape DC 19).
Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 20 ft., one target. Hit: 20 (3d8+5) bludgeoning damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 20 Dexterity saving throw or be knocked prone.
Havoc Breath (Recharge 5-6). Voruthrax exhales a cone of rupturing void and flame in a 90-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 20 Dexterity saving throw, taking 77 (14d10) fire and necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one. Structures and unattended objects in the area take full damage and are corroded.
Rend Ruin (1/Day). Voruthrax tears at the fabric of nearby magic: choose up to three magical effects or summoned creatures within 120 feet. Each chosen effect is subjected to a DC 20 Charisma saving throw; on a failed save the effect is suppressed for 1 minute (if a spell) or the summoned creature is banished for 1 minute. Nonmagical items are unaffected.
Voidstep. When hit by an attack, Voruthrax can use its reaction to teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space it can see. The attack automatically misses if Voruthrax moves out of the attack's range or line of effect as a result of the teleport.
The creature can take 3 legendary actions per round, choosing from the options below.
Wing Buffet. Voruthrax beats its molten wings. Each creature within 15 ft. must succeed on a DC 20 Strength saving throw or take 18 (4d8) bludgeoning damage and be pushed 20 ft. If successful, they take half damage and aren't pushed.
Summon Scions (Costs 2 Actions). Voruthrax summons 1d4 shadow-fiends (use stat block of a guard-demonish lesser fiend) to appear in unoccupied spaces within 60 ft. They act on Voruthrax's initiative but immediately take their turns. These scions vanish after 1 minute or when reduced to 0 HP.
Rift Step (Costs 2 Actions). Voruthrax moves up to 60 feet without provoking opportunity attacks. It can end this movement in a space occupied by a creature; that creature must succeed on a DC 20 Strength saving throw or be shoved 30 feet and take 14 (4d6) force damage as the rift slams shut.
Voruthrax is the product of an obscene fusion between a destructively minded fragment of the Overseer and the raw hunger of the Abyss. Born in a rift beyond the known layers, its first act was to rend the bones of a titan and fashion a citadel from the fragments. Cults that worship ruin swear it is a harbinger of cycles — an agent that clears the old for new horrors. The Abyssal Registry, a consortium of learned fiends and forbidden librarians, keeps a dozen sealed folios describing Voruthrax's birth, but most tomes are soaked in acid or written in melting ink. Legends speak of the Marrowfall Campaign, when Voruthrax marched through the basalt plains of Lesrik and shattered an armada of war-spells in a single day. The Binder Iskotar of Tellun tried to trap the creature within a lattice of iron and prayer, only to lose his hands and half his name; his surviving journals detail strange vulnerabilities — a ritual pattern that will slow it, a promise of a weapon wrought from a fallen Overseer shard. Voruthrax lairs in places where great things were broken: collapsed spires, cratered altars, and the skeletal remains of planar anchors. It feeds on the energies of ruin — devouring artifacts, siphoning ley-threads, and absorbing the desperation of besieged souls. Lesser demons revere and fear Voruthrax in equal measure; demon-princes sometimes bargain with its hunger, others seek to supplant it.
Voruthrax stands taller than a castle gate, a mass of basalt-black muscle ribbed with veins of molten metal that pulse like heartbeats. Its head is an obscene crown of fused horns and splintered bone; rows of glassy, inhuman eyes ringed in rusted iron blink independently. Its torso is plated with broken, overlapping plates that resemble both armor and petrified flesh, each plate scored by glyphs of unmaking. Six limbs end in hands and talons the size of small boats; a barbed tail sweeps like a battering ram. Occasional exposed coils of glowing sinew and smoldering fragments protrude from cracks in its hide. Patches of scorched runes, old bindings and swallowed chains hang from its shoulders, half-melted into the skin. Scattered across the creature's flank are cavities where little ruin-spirits cling, nibbling at power-cores. Scale reference: when crouched in a ruined cathedral doorway, a human reaches barely to Voruthrax's knee. Texture: the skin is coarse and stone-like, the molten veins gleam wetly; burn scars and pockmarks map its battles.
