Argos-Prime
Titan of Bronze and Circuit
Argos-Prime is an ancient colossus of bronze plates and exposed clockwork—more a siege engine turned reliquary than a mind. It stands motionless for centuries in ruined plazas, a statue whose eyes sometimes flare with blue light as if remembering orders long forgotten. When roused, its footsteps reshape the ground and its voice, a chorus of grinding gears and distant bells, commands the weather of battle: it strikes with deliberate, planet-sized blows and fires a disciplined beam that melts masonry. The horror is not only its strength but the sense that it was built to enforce a law older than kingdoms—and it still follows that law without mercy.

Multiattack. Argos-Prime makes two Slam attacks.
Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 27 (4d10+5) bludgeoning damage.
Severant Beam (Recharge 5-6). Ranged Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, range 120 ft., one target. Hit: 45 (10d8+5) force damage. If the target is a construct or object, it takes an extra 22 (4d10) force damage.
Overdrive Core (Recharge 6). Argos-Prime forces all creatures of its choice within 60 feet to make a DC 19 Strength saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 78 (12d12) fire damage and is knocked prone; on a successful save, it takes half as much and is not knocked prone. Structures and unattended objects in the area take full damage automatically.
Kinetic Parry. When a creature misses Argos-Prime with a melee attack, Argos uses its reaction to make a single Slam attack against that creature.
The creature can take 3 legendary actions per round, choosing from the options below.
Heavy Slam. Argos-Prime makes one Slam attack. (Costs 1 action.)
Shockwave Sweep. Argos-Prime slams the ground. Each creature within 20 feet must succeed on a DC 19 Strength saving throw or take 21 (6d6) bludgeoning damage and be pushed 15 feet and knocked prone; on a success, they take half as much and aren't pushed. (Costs 2 actions.)
Rapid Discharge. Argos-Prime fires a condensed bolt from an auxiliary lens. Ranged Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, range 60 ft., one target. Hit: 36 (8d8) lightning damage. (Costs 3 actions.)
Argos-Prime is a remnant of a pre-empire order called the Surnumerate: guilds of engineers and ritualists who fused sorcery to mechanisms. They erected a small handful of Titan constructs as guardians of treaties, each keyed to arcane compacts and territorial markers. When the Surnumerate fractured in the War of Codices, Argos-Prime was left standing sentinel in the Hall of Ten Columns. Centuries of dust and ivy turned it into a statue that villagers began to pray to for luck and harvests. Scholars such as Archivist Merek of the Collegium Vantine have traced the statutes that bind Argos-Prime to an oath node beneath its sternum. When a compact is violated within a radius of miles, Argos awakens and enforces the old terms with terrifying literalism. Parties that try to examine or strip its bronze skin find the construct indifferent to blasphemy: it executes directives with surgical impartiality. The order called the Tolkhar Cartel seeks its keys to weaponize the colossus, while the hermit-adept Iridwyn Greybind believes Argos is an oracle that still remembers the Surnumerate’s original counsel.
Argos-Prime rises like a collapsed bell tower reassembled into a humanoid frame, standing three times taller than a castle doorway. Its plates are beaten bronze, mottled with verdigris and lattice-like etchings of sigils that glow faintly along seams. Exposed in places are tightly wound cable bundles and crystalline capacitors that pulse with cobalt light. Joints are linked by tooth-like sprockets and oversized rivets; hydraulic pistons hiss steam when it moves. Its head is helmet-like with a vertical slit of polished obsidian for an eye that flashes crystalline lattices. On its chest, a circular aperture is set with a ribbed core — the oath node — ringed by weathered bronze script. Scale reference: it towers over a human (about 20 feet to the shoulder, 40+ feet overall) and can easily stride over a ruined two-story building. Texture notes: scratched bronze plates, dark oil-stained crevices, glassy lens, braided copper cabling, and smoldering seams where its core vents.
